5th Generation Painting and Contracting is all about community involvement. In addition to beautifying homes and businesses across metro Atlanta, 5th Generation and the Bean family are truly giving back to East Cobb, Atlanta and communities as far away as Ghana and Kenya in Africa.

Schools and Athletics

With all of the Bean children involved in athletics, it has been a natural expression of family and corporate "giving back"  for 5th Generation to apply their personal and corporate talents to community athletics. 5th Generation has enjoyed doing several projects which support athletic and educational pursuits.

5th Generation built and painted the lacrosse wall for Walton High School. Pictured below are the ground breaking, site preparation, the concrete foundation and re-bar anchors, and finally the finished wall with a paint job!

5th Generation donated funds and built the Case-McKee Timing Building at the Walton High School Football and Track facility (pictured below). This building is used for timing races at track meets and for other Walton High School athletic events. Below on the right, is the Walton High School softball infield backstop wall 5th Generation built for the school as a non-profit project.

Churches

5th Generation has done discounted work or non-profit projects for many area churches including Mt. Bethel UMC, Mt. Zion UMC, Eastside Baptist Church, McDonough Presbyterian Church, and others.  Below (left) is Melissa, Grant and Barry Bean.   Below (center) Laura Bean practices her "swing" in the demolition phase of a church remodel to earn money for missions.  Below (right) Ashley and Barry Bean spend a summer day painting the newly remodeled office at Mt. Bethel UMC. Wayne and Melissa are clearly mentoring the 6th Generation into the family business.

Inner City

Christmas 2006, 5th Generation purchased 260 fleece jackets from Old Navy.  Company employees (and their children) gift wrapped and delivered the jackets  to inner-city children in the Bowen Homes (Atlanta) housing project.
